Drawing from the data and input of multiple Dakar winners, this model reflects KTM’s uncompromising pursuit of rally excellence.
Following a sweeping update ahead of this year’s Dakar—which saw Sanders clinch victory and Edgar Canet dominate the Rally2 class—the latest version arrives sharper, lighter, and more competitive than ever.
Under the bodywork lies a proven 450cc SOHC fuel-injected engine mated to a six-speed transmission and premium hydraulic clutch. Designed for the world’s harshest terrain, it features a custom-welded frame built at KTM’s Motorsports facility in Austria. With hydro-formed and laser-cut sections, the chassis ensures superior rider feedback and strength, complemented by a robust aluminum swingarm.
Fuel management is handled through three strategically placed tanks—two front and one rear—offering a combined capacity of approximately 34.5 liters. KTM has equipped the bike with WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension, including a 48 mm XACT PRO 7548 closed cartridge fork and an adjustable XACT PRO 7750 rear shock.
The cockpit has been shaped by years of rally development, featuring an aerodynamic fairing, carbon fiber navigation tower, and a fully integrated rally dashboard.
